I'll first post it here. To whom it may concern:

As I said in the "about" page, you can use the picture provided all the watermarks are retained. Actually, it is not our intention to add our own tag. It is a direct result of some site owner (in fact just one)'s consistent ignoring of my kind requests to acknowledge the sources. I consider it intentionally as I have commented on his/her site for at least five times. But still, I see pictures posted there with watermarks intentionally removed. I don't understand why it is so hard to acknowledge other people's efforts. I really don't.

I'd say it aloud here. It is easy for me to add watermarks hard to remove but it is not what a fan site is about. The watermarking already creates extra work for me. So, I hope my work can be appreciated.

Both gazzetta and sky are saying that, Nesta must have "suffered" a lot as he had to greet every single Azzurri player and he sit very close to Pippo Inzaghi (together with De Rossi), who, immediately, put his Azzurro sweater onto Nesta's shoulder...Nesta couldn't do anything other than smile...and then he joined his Milan companions.

MILANO, 24 agosto 2007 - Maledetta Ungheria. O peggio, maledetta Francia. Tra l'umiliante sconfitta di a Budapest, e la delicatissima sfida dell'8 settembre a San Siro, la Nazionale si scopre con un Materazzi in meno e tante preoccupazioni in più. Perché in 90’ la squadra di Donadoni ha perso tutto: la partita, la faccia, infine le gambe di un leader, scoprendo problemi vecchi e nuovi che meritano di essere analizzati.
1. EMERGENZA DIFESA - La classica punta dell'iceberg è il grave infortunio di Materazzi. Quando al Mondiale s’era infortunato Nesta, proprio Materazzi non l’aveva fatto rimpiangere, ma non è più possibile ipotizzare una staffetta al contrario per l'addio alla Nazionale del milanista. Mai come adesso si può capire il peso della sua decisione, ancora più grave di quella di Totti perché, al di là del valore tecnico dei due, a causa della carenza di difensori italiani Nesta ha meno sostituti. Ecco perché un ripensamento risolverebbe molti problemi, senza intaccare l'immagine del giocatore che anzi fornirebbe un'ulteriore dimostrazione di attaccamento all’azzurro. Ma se così non fosse, crescerebbe la sensazione che il suo ritiro è stato gestito male da tutti, come era stato gestito male quello di Totti, senza il quale forse nemmeno Nesta avrebbe detto addio, allungando pericolosamente la serie di precedenti. Perché di questo passo anche Cannavaro, Inzaghi e Del Piero, che tra l'altro hanno tre o due anni in più, potrebbero dire grazie e arrivederci.
2. SITUAZIONE INFORTUNI - Si è parlato tanto della differenza di condizione atletica tra i giocatori delle squadre italiane e delle straniere, ma la benzina in più nelle gambe degli ungheresi non basta per spiegare la figuraccia. Se è vero che le società hanno pensato ai loro interessi, favorendo una partenza ritardata del campionato, è altrettanto vero che anche Totti e Nesta si sono preoccupati prima di se stessi. E, al di là delle gambe molli, ci sono altri motivi che preoccupano e non riguardano soltanto la strisciante presunzione con cui i campioni del mondo hanno affrontato avversari nettamente inferiori. Donadoni non ha potuto disporre per infortuni vari di Camoranesi, Perrotta, De Rossi, Gattuso e contro la Francia soltanto gli ultimi due saranno sicuramente disponibili, perché Camoranesi e Perrotta stanno riprendendo soltanto adesso. Dopo il vuoto di Materazzi in difesa, non ci volevano i dubbi sulle condizioni fisiche, e di forma, di uomini importanti per il centrocampo.
3. EQUILIBRIO TATTICO - Vittima e non colpevole dei problemi precedenti, Donadoni non è invece immune da responsabilità per le scelte tecnico-tattiche della partita di Budapest. Considerata dallo stesso c.t. una prova importante in vista della Francia, l'amichevole s’è rivelata un'occasione persa, perché Donadoni ha cambiato 4 uomini dopo l'intervallo, mentre Domenech in Slovacchia ha aspettato il 13' della ripresa per la prima sostituzione. E in particolare Donadoni ha sbagliato a schierare un tridente leggero con Quagliarella-Inzaghi-Di Natale scoprendo pericolosamente il centrocampo e quindi la difesa. Mancanza di equilibrio grave, che non ha lasciato alcuna indicazione positiva in prospettiva.
4. L’IDENTITÀ - Ma alla fine ciò che preoccupa di più, come sottolineato fin dall'inizio della sua gestione, è la mancanza di identità della squadra, e di conseguenza dei rispettivi interpreti. È impossibile immaginare chi andrebbe in campo contro la Francia, se fossero tutti disponibili. Tanto per fare un nome importante, Pirlo ha giocato davanti alla difesa come nel Milan, oppure in linea con altri centrocampisti, mentre con la Scozia è andato in panchina. E in una piacevole abbondanza - con Gattuso, De Rossi, Perrotta e lo stesso Pirlo - chi sarebbe l’escluso?, visto che davanti teoricamente almeno Toni, più di Camoranesi e Del Piero, non è in discussione. Aspettare l'ultimo momento per scegliere i più in forma, come fa chi gioca al fantacalcio, può servire per vincere una partita, ma non basta per costruire un gruppo prima di una squadra. according to gazzetta, Nesta is going to speak today at Milanello to formally announce his decision to quit the Nazionale.

Whatever his reasons are, I hope this is the end, period.

Abete has spoken to Nesta and today he said Nesta is going to release his decision over the Azzurri himself as Totti did because FIGC prefers the players making the announcements.

The media guess that it's a "NO". Whatever it is, I just want to hear it and draw a closure to this long sitcom.

Here comes Donadoni's comments. When interviewed with gazzetta, Donadoni mentionied that he would like to try three-men defense as he has right men for the system and he used this when he was in Lecco.

from gazzetta, Nesta is going to speak with Abete and Donadoni in a few days. gazzetta says that no one succeeded in contacting him during the summer but since he is now back, Abete and Donadoni will try to speak with him on the phone this Saturday or Sunday. Though no one knows the answer yet, gazzetta has this picture that I really hate.

Gazzetta also mentions about Sandro: about Nesta's decision, no one knows anything yet. But from what the article implies by "the FIGC has to prepare for a whole new Nazionale", I guess the answer is NO. ---Just my guess.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport says that Nesta will be giving a clear answer soon.
